Piers Morgan Twitter: ‘Going to get spanked’ GMB host speaks out on ITV show's new ‘rules’

Piers Morgan, 54, teased his return to Good Morning Britain today after the ITV show claimed it would be enforcing “strict” rules on the star and his co-host Susanna Reid, 48. The TV personality addressed a video posted by the programme’s official Twitter page, which was shared alongside the caption: “Strict @CharlotteHawkns is setting rules for the ‘disruptive’ @piersmorgan and @susannareid100. “Watch the new term from 6am tomorrow.” In the clip, Charlotte Hawkins, 44, sported a school teacher inspired ensemble as she said: “Welcome back to school Morgan and Reid.

“Last term was a little disruptive for the rest of the class.”

The video then flashed to a clip of Charlotte rolling her eyes at Piers’ mischievous antics on the show.

She continued while whipping a cane on her hand: “Morgan, there will be no more interrupting. Certainly no more gloating.

“I’ll be watching your grammar too, so no more saying ‘right’ the whole time.”

The clip went on to illustrate Charlotte’s point by showing a montage of Piers repeating the word on the programme.

The presenter then issued some words of warning to Susanna Reid, adding: “Reid, don’t think you’ve got off scot-free.

“No more pulling faces. Your answering back has to stop. You have both been warned.”

In spite of the stern words of warning from Charlotte, Piers didn’t seem too concerned by GMB’s list of rules.

He retweeted the video in view of his 6.8 million followers and cheekily wrote in response: “Does this mean I’m going to get spanked tomorrow?”

Fans took to the comments section of Piers’ tweet to share their thoughts ahead of his comeback to the show.

One person wrote: “Praise the lord you are back soon, missed some good morning television. haven’t watched any since you left! The other options are awfully boring.”
