Here they come!

16:27: The two sides have just emerged to a ferocious atmosphere at the Emirates. Tottenham were made to wait a good few minutes before Arsenal arrived in the tunnel. Are we calling that mind games or just terrible punctuality?

Five-minute warning

16:25: You’ve got five minutes to calm yer nerves for the north London derby, folks. Sky Sports are showing us endless montages of previous games over the years. It’s actually kind of annoying.

Harry off target?

16:23: Harry Kane has had only two shots on target this season, scoring with both of them against Aston Villa before blanking against Manchester City and Newcastle. But you’d be a fool to write him off today, right?

All the stats

Tottenham have only won two of their 27 Premier League away matches versus Arsenal.

This is the 186th north London derby. Arsenal have won 77 times, Tottenham 58 with 50 draws

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored just three goals in 14 league games against sides from the established top six

Harry Kane’s record of nine goals in north London derbies is bettered only by Emmanuel Adebayor

Change of plan?

16:15: Interesting move from Mauricio Pochettino. And by interesting – I of course mean weird.

It appears that Spurs will play a back-four with Davinson Sanchez at right-back. Didn’t Toby Alderweireld play RB for Belgium?

Tim Sherwood…

16:10: Tim Sherwood got his crystal ball out earlier this week and predicted Arsenal would win the north London derby if four players started.

Those four players were: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Alexandre Lacazette, Nicolas Pepe and Dani Ceballos. The vigilant among you will know that the Spanish loanee is on the bench.

“They need to play their best players, their most offensive players,” Sherwood told Premier League Productions. “Lacazette has to play with Aubameyang and Pepe for me, you need to get Ceballos into the side because he is a fantastic young talent on loan from Real Madrid.

“If they play their most attacking players, the best technical footballers on Sunday in the north London derby, they will beat Tottenham.”

Full time

16:05: Everton held out for a 3-2 victory over Wolves. Twice pegged back, but Richarlison proved the difference in the five-goal thriller. Oh, and Willy Boly was sent off for a second bookable offence.

Twitter reaction

Michael: Don’t think I can remember being less confident going into a derby as i do today. Just hard to see Spurs getting anything at all, let alone a win. Hope I am wrong, very wrong.

Johnny: Looking at both team selections today, it has to be a 1-1 or 2-2 draw. The front Arsenal three are sharp and Eriksen and Vertonghen start.

Andrew: Disappointed with no Ceballos &/or Willock but mostly disappointed there’s no Martinelli on the bench, however fantastic to have the front 3, very exciting. Just hope they get the service they need.

Elsewhere…

15:45: One heck of a match going on at Goodison Park this afternoon.

Everton led 2-1 after 11 crazy first-half minutes. Raul Jimenez levelled things in the 75th-minute but Richarlison restored the advantage with a glancing header. Just a few minutes left in that one.

Team News – Tottenham

15:40: Mauricio Pochettino finally welcomes Jan Vertonghen back into the fold. Whatever contract dispute was going on has clearly been put to one side for a game of this magnitude.

Real Madrid-linked Christian Eriksen also comes into the side. Looks like the Dane will stay for another season.

Dele Alli and Lucas Moura are only on the bench with Argentine Erik Lamela starting in attack. Kyle Walker-Peters drops out.

Team News – Arsenal

15:35: Arsenal make three changes from the side who suffered that defeat to Liverpool last weekend.

The Spanish tactician includes Alexandre Lacazette, Lucas Torreira and Saed Kolasinac. The latter starting in place of Nacho Monreal, who left for Real Sociedad yesterday.

Dani Ceballos and Joe Willock drop to the bench, alongside Mesut Ozil. That’s £350k per week Ozil on the bench.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicolas Pepe and Lacazette are unleashed together.

15:30: And here are the line-ups. The attacking trio do indeed start together. Full analysis on the way.

Arsenal XI: Leno, Maitland-Niles, Sokratis, Luiz, Kolasinac, Torreira, Xhaka, Guendouzi, Pepe, Lacazette, Aubameyang.

Line-ups…

15:28: We’re just moments away from seeing those line-ups. Will Unai Emery start Alexandre Lacazette, Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang together for the first time?

The standings

15:25: It’s never a great idea to look at the Premier League table, especially considering Crystal Palace currently occupy a Champions League spot – but I’m going to anyway.

Today is a real opportunity for Arsenal to get some breathing distance. They could open up a five-point gap between themselves and Spurs with a victory – they could also move four ahead of Manchester United and Chelsea.

Afternoon

15:20: You here for the 186th north London derby? Good – you’ve come to the right place.

What an absolute barnstormer we’ve got ahead of us. Arsenal, who look rejuvenated under Unai Emery, take on a inconsistent Tottenham – who have taken just 15 points from 15 games.

Both have incredible firepower, both need the points and both are desperate for those all-important bragging rights.

Ok, let’s get started!

ARSENAL vs TOTTENHAM – TEAM NEWS

Arsenal could be set to start Alexandre Lacazette, Nicolas Pepe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang together for the first time against Tottenham today.

The trio are yet to feature in the same starting XI but manager Unai Emery could go on the offensive when Spurs visit the Emirates for the first north London derby of the season.

The Spaniard deployed a diamond midfield last time out against Liverpool but Lacazette could return to the first team if Emery opts for a 4-3-3 formation packed full of his attacking talents.

Sead Kolasinac will start at left-back following Nacho Monreal’s departure to Real Sociedad while David Luiz will continue alongside Sokratis Papastathopoulos with Kieran Tierney, Rob Holding, Hector Bellerin and Konstantinos Mavropanos all injured.

Mauricio Pochettino will be forced to shuffle his squad against Arsenal this afternoon as Tottenham contend with injuries to a number of first-team players.

Spurs are without Kyle Walker-Peters and Juan Foyth at right-back while potential stand-in Eric Dier is doubtful due to a hip injury.

Tanguy Ndombele is also sidelined while Dele Alli is also unlikely to feature as he continues his recovery from a hamstring injury, but Pochettino is not concerned about his lack of options.
