Strictly Come Dancing 2019: Has Alex Scott’s big victory been revealed in score bombshell?

Strictly Come Dancing fans don’t have long to wait until the BBC competition kicks off once more.

Although the stars are yet to step out on to the dance floor, there has been plenty of speculation about how everyone will fare.

Several celebrities have already emerged as potential frontrunners, including Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley, Made in Chelsea’s Jamie Laing and social media star Saffron Barker.

One major talking point every year is which famous face will land the maximum score of 40 before their competitors after receiving four 10s from the judges.

And could the lucky recipient have already been revealed?

Bookmakers Coral have pegged Alex as the favourite to be the first to get top marks with odds of 2/1, meaning she could well be on her way to a win.

A spokesperson for the bookies said: “Alex Scott is our favourite to win Strictly Come Dancing this year and we think she will also be the first to score the full house of 40 from the judges.

“Jamie Laing comes next and we are expecting him to impress the judges with his moves too.”

Jamie comes in second place with odds of 3/1, while Saffron follows in third place as she sits on odds of 5/1 of getting the full house first.

Meanwhile, Catherine is just behind with odds of 6/1, but viewers will have to wait and see how she and the rest of the contestants fare.

The bookies also have odds on which week the 40 could be scored in.

The spokesperson added: “Our betting suggest the first four tens is most likely to come around week 7 to week 9, whilst there is a 1 in 50 chance that we see the magical score come in the first week of the show.”

BBC Breakfast sports correspondent Mike Bushell has been placed in the bottom of the pile when it comes to who will scoop the Glitterball trophy.

However, he could end up surprising viewers when the show airs.

Although he has revealed he has been issued a warning from show bosses in light of his clumsy antics on TV.

Last year the presenter fell into a swimming pool while interviewing live on air.

Speaking about the launch show earlier this week, Mike said: “Saffron’s only 19 but she’s a brilliant choreographer already and she told me what to do.

“I thought I’m going to do bit of sashay but then I thought ‘I’ll just go for a jump’ but as you saw the jump’s a bit high. Much higher than it was in rehearsal so it did go off the stage.

“I have been warned several times by Strictly not to get too near to the edge of things because of a certain incident involving a swimming pool.”

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One on September 7.
