According to a report from PageSix, Luann De Lesseps, the Real Housewives of New York City star, is reflecting on her past year which was fraught with problems – but also recovery. Her probation sentence rooted in her 2017 arrest is finally coming to a close, and Lesseps is getting honest about what she learned.
In a handwritten wrote posted on Instagram, the star said, “I’ve made it through,” adding that she feels both “grateful” and “humbled” by what she managed to learn from the altercation. The reality star claims she’s now ready to move on to the next chapter of her life.
The 54-year-old reality star thanked her fans for their support and told them to wish her luck. Confirming the news to Page Six, the New York Department of Probation released a statement indicating that this past Wednesday was the last day of her probationary period. They intend to “inform Florida as legally required.”
As it was previously reported, Luann was arrested by the police in Palm Beach, Florida, on the day of Christmas Eve. She apparently got into a vicious altercation with police officers and has since gone to rehab twice.
Unfortunately, in May 2019, court documents claim the reality star had two glasses of mimosas after a performance in Chicago, Illinois. Her probation officer accused her of not taking her probation as serious as the court asked, and she was demanded to go stand before a judge again.
Reported first by Page Six, her representative said to the outlet that the reports about her weren’t accurate and she was glad to see the judge was more aware of the truth. Luann De Lesseps isn’t the only star to struggle with sobriety.

Charlie Sheen’s ex-wife, Brooke Mueller, also found herself in hot water this year after videos surfaced of her online holding what appeared to be a pipe for smoking some kind of illegal narcotic. Page Six published a report stating that Brooke has been engaged in “Eyes-Wide-Shut”-type parties for years, and also showing up to an event with “suitcases filled with drugs.”
