Xbox Live DOWN: Server Status latest as Xbox One outage hits online services

Xbox Live servers are down tonight according to the latest reports from Xbox One console owners.

Issues started being encountered within the last hour (8pm BST) and include problems with connecting to core online services.

Another issue for Xbox One owners tonight is being able to sign in to their Xbox Live accounts.

The good news is that Microsoft has confirmed that tonight’s outage has been spotted and will be handled by engineers.

“We’ve seen reports that users are having trouble signing in,” a message from Microsoft reads.

“We have teams working on it now! We’ll update you with additional details as soon as we can.”

It’s unclear how long tonight’s outage may last on Xbox One consoles or what might have caused it.

Having been spotted early on by Microsoft, there’s a good chance it won’t take long for services to return to normal.

It should be noted that no official maintenance has been scheduled for today by Microsoft for Xbox Live services.

The Xbox Live services and support page doesn’t currently list any ongoing problems but will likely be updated if tonight’s outage continues.

“Attempting to login to my profile on Xbox One and it won’t let me,” one user reports.

“It says, “you’ll need internet for this”. My wifi network is up and running, and for some reason, I can still use my Netflix app on Xbox One, but signing in to my profile is going nowhere.

“Looked on Xbox[microsoft] support and everything is showing as up and running…meaning Xbox support is bad at updating their users.”
