Lucifer season 5: New title revealed in premiere bombshell?

Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis) will begin filming it’s fifth and final season in September and fans have been eager to know how the next outing will play out after season four ended on a number of cliffhangers.

Showrunners and cast members have teased a number of spoilers in recent months, with the creators revealing there could be another musical episode in the next outing.

However, fans were sent into a frenzy after Showrunner Ildy Modrovich shared what could be a huge spoiler for season five of the Netflix hit.

Taking to Twitter, Ildy gave fans the initials of the premiere episode of the new outing, asking them to guess what they could stand for.

The showrunner tweeted: “Okay… real mystery: initials of episode 501: R.S.D.G. Any guesses? #Lucifer #LuciferSeason5.”

Naturally the post was met with a flood of comments as fans tried to guess the title of the unreleased episode.

A popular guess included: “Rescue Samael Dear God”.

A confident user added: “READY. SET. DEVIL. GO. I am betting on this with my life.#LuciferSeason5”

However, the showrunner may have just given the final verdict as she responded to one fan’s tweet.

Replying to a video the show runner tweeted from a Rolling Stones concert, the user said: “Awesome – you have me rethinking my guess on your other tweet – Rolling Stones Devilish Genes- lol – great concert!”

The showrunner replied: “Fantastic guess!”

Could the next episode be titled Rolling Stones Devilish Genes?

The tweets come after Lucifer actor Tom Ellis spoke out about one of his most controversial lines in the show.

During a conversation with his therapist in season two episode eight, Lucifer was asked questions about hell and responded by alluding to President Donald Trump’s place there.

In the scene his therapist, Linda (Rachael Harris) asked: “How did you actually torture Hitler in Hell?

“I mean, is his cell next to Idi Amin’s? Or Mussolini’s? Or is there kind of a tyrant wing in Hell?”

Lucifer responds, and eventually adds: “So, we can, you know, talk about Caligula, Stalin.

“Trump – I mean, I know he’s not dead, but he’s definitely going.”

According to Jimheath.tv Tom ppoke out about the line at this year’d Lucifer Convention, revealing it wasn’t in the original script.

Tom Ellis said: “Suggesting that Donald Trump isn’t dead yet – but he’s definitely going to Hell – I threw that in thinking no one’s going to let this on FOX, and it made it!”

Tom went on to add: “It’s moments like that, lines that have been improvised and they make it on to screen, that’s when I feel a real sense of achievement.”

Lucifer season four is available to watch on Netflix.
