Wayne Rooney, 33, got into a lift with a mystery brunette at 5:30am last Sunday after spending seven hours partying in Vancouver, Canada. The footballer, who now plays for DC United, was spotted joking around with the woman, who was wearing a figure-hugging white top, matching trousers and heels. In pictures obtained by The Sun, the duo were seen in the lobby of a hotel together waiting for an elevator. Wayne wore a grey hoodie, blue jeans, and white trainers for the outing in the city.
The former Manchester United and England forward’s wife Coleen Rooney has now been pictured without her wedding ring just five days after the incident.
The mum-of-four was seen going shopping on Friday with the wedding band notably absent from her left hand.
According to The Sun, Wayne’s wild night out with his team-mates included visits to two clubs and conversations with three girls.
The star reportedly drank rum and cokes with other DC United players at the club where he also put on a cosy display with another brunette.
A source at the night club told the publication: “Inside, they were put in a VIP area, where they do bottle service and close to where there are a couple of girls dancing on raised podiums. It looked like a boys’ night out and the guys were having a few drinks and fist-bumping each other.
“Wayne spent a bit of time with his hoodie up and looking at his phone as he sat on the back of a sofa with his feet on the seat.”
The insider continued: “After a while he seemed to stop chatting with the lads so much and was spending time with this girl, who was glamorous and in her 20s.
“It looked as if she knew who he was. They were talking quite closely and, for long periods, he wasn’t really speaking to anyone else. This was around 2 or 3am. They were putting their hands round each other a bit.”
Wayne’s night out comes after his other half Coleen opened up about “ups and downs” while celebrating their 11th wedding anniversary back in June.
The childhood sweethearts tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in Portofino, Italy in 2008.
Coleen admitted their marriage has been a “journey” of “highs and lows” in a candid post on Instagram in view of her 742,000 followers.
Alongside a black and white snap of the couple, she added the caption: “11 years married!! Happy anniversary @waynerooney.
“It’s been a journey… Ups and downs, highs and lows… but you know what… I love you.”
The ex-England captain also gushed about his wife in honour of their anniversary.
He wrote: “Happy Anniversary @coleen_rooney. 11 years today! Love you girl.”
Wayne and Coleen, met at school when they were 12, before they started dating after they finished school at 16.
The couple share four sons, Kai, nine, Klay, six, Kit, three, and Cass, 15 months.
