Winston Williams is one of the newest characters introduced in 13 Reasons Why but all signs seem to suggest that he will play a pivotal role next series. Introduced in episode five as Monty’s (played by Timothy Granaderos) lover, the character looks set to make an impact on season four. Who plays Winston Williams?

Winston Williams is a brand new character introduced in season three of 13 Reasons Why.
Viewers first got their glimpse of him in episode five of the new series when he and Monty got close in a flashback.
In the scene Monty and Bryce Walker (Justin Prentice) go to a Hillcrest party where they encounter Winston and his friends.
Monty and Winston end up in one of the spare bedrooms where they kiss in secret.

But his role becomes much more important in the series finale when the teenagers of Liberty High band together to frame Monty for Bryce’s murder.
Viewers will remember that new girl Ani Achola (Grace Saif) told the police it was Monty who killed the footballer after they learned he had been killed in his prison cell.
In fact, the real killer was Alex Standall (Miles Heizer) who snapped and threw an injured Bryce into the river to drown.
All seemed to have worked out for the high schoolers as the case was closed until Winston appeared at the end of confront Ani.

Fans learned that in fact, Winston was Monty’s alibi for the night of the killing as the pair had sex that evening.
In the tense scene, he asked Ani why she lied and the show seemed to imply that Winston may end up telling the police the truth in the next season.
He says to her: “He didn’t kill Bryce, he was with me. What did you tell them?
“He was a human being. He didn’t deserve to die like that.”

Winston is played by actor Deaken Bluman in the popular teen drama.
This is one of the actor’s first major roles on screen having only appeared in a handful of other things.
Fans may recognise him from the television series First Love where he played Luke Sullivan.
The series was streamed on the Blackpills app, which is a home to original series.
Bluman also appeared in the Lifetime show Fall Into Me where he played Michael.

Given his knowledge of the truth about Monty, it seems extremely likely that fans will see Winston return in season four.
According to Netflix, the fourth outing will be the final one for the show.
The cast are already back filming for the latest season in California but no details have been released about the what will happen.
