OnePlus 7: Here are two major reasons you should skip this flagship

OnePlus 7 Pro launched back in May and is certainly the firm’s most capable smartphone yet.

The device boasts arguably the best display on a smartphone right now thanks to its high refresh rate and gorgeous resolution.

Moreover, the 7 Pro also totes a capable camera system, a 4,000mAh battery and has a rapid processor in the form of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 855.

While the hardware is appealing for numerous reasons, Android fans looking to upgrade may be best served skipping the device, at least if they want the latest and greatest on offer.

OnePlus typically releases two flagship smartphones ever year – last year these were called the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T respectively.

Later this year the Chinese tech powerhouse is anticipated to release the presumably titled OnePlus 7T.

Renowned tipster Max J. on Twitter recently hinted the hardware could launch as soon as September 26 in India and October 10 in other regions across the globe.

The leaker also claimed the product could go on sale as early as October 15.

This means it may be less than two months until OnePlus launches a new smartphone that is expected to improve upon its 7 series.

This could give Android fans craving the latest and greatest on offer a reason to skip the OnePlus 7 Pro and wait to see what the firm releases next.

Rumours have suggested OnePlus’ next handset could arrive with a new, circular, camera module on its rear.

Max J. and Evan Blass both recently tweeted out images of what appear to be the rear of a new OnePlus device – both showed the smartphone with a circular camera module on its back panel.

Blass’ photo in particular was said to be an original sketch from OnePlus itself.

It is currently unclear what improvements, if any, the new camera module will introduce.

However, it is certainly possible OnePlus’ next handset will be more capable in terms of photography than its predecessor, potentially giving Android enthusaists another reason to skip the manufacturer’s current offering.

The photos shown by Blass and Max J. look incredibly similar to a device pictured in an internal OnePlus meeting last year.

In this outing, OnePlus CEO Pete Lau was exhibited inspecting what appeared to be a model of a yet unreleased smartphone.

Although not confirmed, it is presumed this is the same smartphone that has appeared in more recent leaks.

While new outings have suggested OnePlus could unveil its next smartphone in less than two months, it is worth noting the firm has not officially confirmed this.
