P30 Pro is Huawei’s newest flagship smartphone that launched back in March – the device totes an industry leading camera, a hefty battery and one of the best designs around.
The P30 Pro has remained Express.co.uk’s favourite device since we got our hands on it over five months ago.
But it seems Chinese rival Xiaomi could be readying a new flagship to challenge Huawei’s latest and greatest.
Expected to be called the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4, the new device has been tipped to have a laudable spec sheet.
In particular, a Chinese tipster on Weibo has claimed the product could have an outrageous 108-megapixel main camera.
It was said the hardware could also tote a 16-megapixel ultra wide-angle module and a 12-megapixel periscope sensor.
If true, the hardware could certainly launch a huge challenge to the P30 Pro, at least where photography ability is concerned.
For context, Huawei’s handset comes with a 40-megapixel main, 20-megapixel ultra wide-angle, 8-megapixel periscope and a time-of-flight camera on its rear.
Xiaomi’s Mi MIX 4 was also declared to be powered by Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset which could allow it to deliver rapid performance across Google’s Android operating system.
Moreover, it was said the speedy processor could be accompanied by up to 12GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
Finally, the hardware was stated to come with 2K resolution display, a 4,500mAh battery and a headphone jack.
The latter of which is a port that has become increasingly rare on top-tier flagships – Samsung most recently axed the socket from its new Note 10 handset.
In addition to detailing its specifications, the Weibo leaker also showcased an alleged image of the new phone.
The photo appeared to be promotional material for the product ahead of its debut.
Just like the Mi MIX 3, the smartphone exhibited a front display with minimal borders.
It is possible the Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will launch in China first before its arrival in other regions, such as the UK.
