ORIGINAL STORY: England faces another testing time at Twickenham this afternoon.

Having won and lost to Wales in the past two World Cup warm-up games it’s now time to face the might of Ireland.

Both sides will want to prove they are making progress ahead of the tournament in Japan which starts in just a few weeks time.

Speaking ahead of the clash, England boss Eddie Jones said: “This weekend we will be looking to gain more match fitness and test different sorts of game strategies.

“The players have come back in a very good physical and mental state and we have had a good preparation this week.

“It is the third of four games for us and come 8 September, when we get on the plane, we want to be ready to go. This is another step forward for us.”

Ireland arrives in south west London having beaten Italy in their first warm-up game and the side is looking forward to the prospect of facing their arch-rivals.

“It’s a fantastic and intimidating place to play rugby but it’s a great place to show what you are made of as a player,” said Ireland’s Rory Best.
