Real Madrid create Neymar presentation plan amid battle to beat Barcelona to PSG star

Real Madrid are planning to unveil Neymar next week should they succeed in beating Barcelona to the PSG star, reports say.

The two La Liga titans are currently fighting it out to land the 27-year-old, who is eager to leave the Parc des Princes.

Neymar’s preference is understood to be a return to former team Barcelona but Real Madrid are pressing hard to sign him, too, having admitted defeat in their pursuit of Manchester United’s Paul Pogba.

And Catalan newspaper Sport say that Real are hoping to present Neymar as their latest Galactico next week.

Club president Florentino Perez is determined to secure the signing of the Brazil international, having admired him ever since his time at Santos.

And Perez feels two factors work in Real’s favour.

The first is that they feel Barcelona do not have the financial muscle to secure the signing of the PSG star.

The Catalan giants have already spent big money this summer, snapping up the likes of Antoine Griezmann and Frenkie de Jong.

And there’s even a feeling over at PSG that Barcelona are only showing interest in Neymar to appease Lionel Messi.

A second factor Perez feels benefits Real is PSG’s strained relationship with Barcelona.

The two clubs find it notoriously difficult to negotiate with one another ever since Neymar’s move to Paris in 2017.

But whether Real’s plans of unveiling Neymar next week come to fruition is something only time will tell.

The report says Perez will not be able to present Neymar as a player ‘born to play for the club’.

But that doesn’t matter with Real still hopeful they can beat Barcelona to the signing of the Brazil international.

Meanwhile, former Real star Gheorghe Hagi believes Neymar and Eden Hazard could propel Zidane’s side to Champions League glory.

“They can win easier,” he told Super Deportivo Radio.

”Without a doubt. If they sign Neymar and with the Hazard signing, they can win the Champions League again.

“[Zinedine] Zidane will then have to find a place for each one, but it’s the best thing that can happen to a coach. You just have to motivate them.”
