EastEnders spoilers: Mel Owen in new horror as she's faced with huge blast from the past

EastEnders’ Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite) was plunged into a new horror after Hunter’s (played by Charlie Winter) dark side emerged when he murdered his step dad Ray Kelly (Sean Mahon).

The troubled teenager first seemed the victim after he shot Ray to stop him from killing his mother Mel Owen (Tamzin Outhwaite).

However, it soon became clear the schoolboy had embraced his newfound killer status as his behaviour began to spiral out of control.

Although viewers saw him locked up for his crime a few months ago, the killer will be making a comeback as the two come face-to-face in tonight’s episode.

Mel was horrified after Police revealed Hunter has escaped Prison in Wednesday’s episode.

Tonight’s episode will see Mel’s full reaction to the news that Hunter is on the loose as she demands an explanation from the Police as to how he managed to escape.

Desperate for answers, Mel makes a call to get some legal advice, but is horrified to find her killer son laying low in the E20 office.

Once again, Mel’s mothering instincts will take over as the businesswoman launches a cunning plan.

Will she be able to sneak Hunter out of the club unnoticed?

News travels fast in Walford and this wouldn’t be the first time one of Mel’s plans backfired.

Word of Hunters escape quickly travels throughout the whole square and there are sure to be people on the look out for the villainous schoolboy.

Mel gets stopped by Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean), Billy Mitchell (Perry Fenwick) and Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden), who all want to offer their support.

Mel will once again open up to Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) but is this wise with Hunter on the loose?

Hunter has long proved he will do anything to make things go his way and has never been a fan of Jack.

News of Hunter’s escape is sure to spell trouble for Jack after he played a significant role in his arrest.

Will Hunter kill again?

Soap fans will be left wondering why Hunter returned to Albert Square with this being the first place Police would look.

However, based on past behaviour fans can only assume he is out to wreak revenge.

Will Mel hand him in before things get out of hand once again?

EastEnders continues tomorrow on BBC at 8pm.
