Tom Holland Unfollows Sony on Instagram – IGN News

Tom Holland, who has played Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, has reportedly unfollowed Sony on Instagram following the news that Spider-Man may be leaving the MCU.As reported by Heroic Hollywood, MCU Cosmic’s Jeremy Conrad noticed the move by the Spider-Man star, which would be the first acknowledgment by Holland of this news as he has yet to give any type of public comment or reaction.

The news of Spider-Man potentially leaving the MCU broke earlier this week when it was revealed that negotiations between Sony Pictures and Disney/Marvel had broken down, which would mean that Marvel president Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios would no longer co-produce future Spider-Man films.

Disney has yet to officially comment, but Sony placed the blame on Disney, saying, “We are disappointed, but respect Disney’s decision not to have [Feige] continue as a lead producer of our next live action Spider-Man film.”

Many other stars have taken to social media to react to this news, including Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds responding to fans asking him to save Spider-Man and Hawkeye actor Jeremy Renner asking Sony nicely to return Spider-Man to the MCU.
