Sources Say Lori Loughlin Never Even Realized That Her College Tuition Payments Were Illegal

According to a report from People, Mrs. Lori Loughlin, the Fuller House alum, allegedly didn’t believe her involvement in the college admissions scandal was illegal.

Sources who spoke with the aforementioned outlet claimed Lori considered her “donations” similar in nature to individuals who give money for building libraries and other facilities.

The insider who spoke with People claimed Lori didn’t think she “was doing any different than donating money for a library or athletic field.” The 55-year-old actress and her husband, Mossimo Giannulli, 56, allegedly paid half-a-million dollars to William Singer to help their daughters get into the University Of Southern California via the rowing team.

In April of this year, Mossimo and Lori pled not guilty to charges of money laundering conspiracy as well as wire fraud. If convicted as guilty, they’ll spend years behind bars. Additionally, the insider stated that Loughlin knows her reputation has been completely obliterated for the remainder of her life.

With that said, however, the source claims Lori doesn’t believe the allegations are entirely truthful either. Lori and Mossimo are scheduled to appear in court on the 27th of August. She and her fashion-designer spouse are expected to waive their separate lawyers so as to put forth a “united front.”

Furthermore, the source said to the outlet that Lori is really looking forward to the whole thing being over. Paraphrasing the source, Lori believes it might’ve been better to actually serve a few months in prison because the media spectacle and trial has been “prison” on its own.

According to Page Six, if Lori and her man are convicted, they might receive a sentence of 40 years. The situation for Mr. Singer, on the other hand, is far less rosy, as he pleaded guilty to a variety of federal charges including obstruction of justice, conspiracy to defraud the United States, money laundering conspiracy, as well as racketeering conspiracy.

Lori’s daughters, Bella and Olivia Jade, have also suffered consequences, especially Olivia Jade who was dropped by Sephora amid the admissions scandal.
