Brad Pitt may not have been with Angelina Jolie when she dropped their oldest son, Maddox off to college in South Korea but insiders say he is, nevertheless very proud of him. Apparently, the actor is cheering on him and has promised to be there for him in every way he can as Maddox explores this new chapter in his life.
In about two weeks, the 18 year old is set to start his junior year at Yonsei University and Brad is over the moon about it.
After all, the college he chose to study biochemistry at is one of the three most prestigious in Korea, known collectively as SKY universities.
Pitt is very happy that his oldest child is so accomplished already.
One insider shared with HollywoodLife that ‘Brad is so proud of Maddox and how he’s heading to school on his own terms. Brad’s proud of all his kids, and is there for them through thick and thin.’
The Hollywood star has realized that being there for his children involves getting along well with his ex Angelina.
He ‘may not get along romantically with Angie, but he definitely wants to get to a place where they can co-exist, because a healthy relationship with Angie means a healthy relationship with their kids. Brad just wants to be on the same page as the kids and Angie so they can co-exist cordially and share as much love with one another as possible,’ the source went on to dish.
In the meantime, Jolie feels the same about Maddox’s academic accomplishments.

But while she is just as proud, there is no doubt that she has been emotional over him leaving home.
