BBC News: ‘Story of my life’ Carol Kirkwood stuns Naga Munchetty with shock admission

BBC Breakfast’s resident weather guru, Carol Kirkwood, had all the good news this morning.

The presenter delivered her forecast today and while it was full of sunshine, the real story came when it finished.

As she concluded her segment, Naga Munchetty, asked Carol if she was jealous of their colleague, Sam Fenwick, today.

The presenter is currently in Coalville, North West Leicestershire, for BBC Breakfast with some adorable little lambs.

However, Carol has previously spent time there herself, and was taken by some of the loveable animals.

She said: “Very [jealous]. It was Ted, Toby and Poppy. They are gorgeous.”

Naga swiped: “Do you see how fickle they are in the arms of someone else?”

Carol sighed, adding: “Story of my life, Naga.”

Naga burst into laughter, sharing: “Carol, we’ll have to talk about this over a glass of something.”

The segment ended, but it wasn’t without Carol’s promising forecast.

She predicted for the day: “More rain to cross Northern England, Northern Ireland, and we still have a bright and blustery one over Scotland, but there’s a lot of dry weather.

“Some drizzle across south west England, but that will give way to some bright and sunny spells. In the sunshine, the highest temperature will be across Norwich.

“It will be feeling cooler in the wind in the north, and also in the rain. Through this evening and overnight, the rain continues to fall over Scotland, northern England as well, continuing to advance.

“There will be some showers across north east England, south west, but clear skies south east and it’s not going to be a cold night.”

Carol went on to reveal Brits can expect soaring temperatures over the Bank Holiday, with some places even touching 30 degrees.

Yesterday on BBC Breakfast, Sally Nugent warned Dan Walker over a Strictly Come Dancing remark.

The sports presenter discussed her colleague, Mike Bushell, while he prepares for Strictly.

Mike has been preparing hard for the gruelling BBC talent show, but Dan didn’t want to lend all his support to his colleague.

When he revealed he had to show Alex Scott some support, Sally playfully warned Dan to be “careful”.

BBC Breakfast airs weekdays on BBC One at 6am.
