Meghan Markle takes Archie Harrison on holiday – when did Kate’s children first go abroad?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry married in May 2018 and announced they were expecting just a few months later. The Duchess of Sussex gave birth to Archie Harrison on 6 May 2019 and has mostly been keeping a low profile ever since. However, the couple has already whisked little Archie off on his first holiday abroad at just three months old. The royals headed on their family holiday from 6 August to 12 August this year and reportedly spent some time in Ibiza.

Just days after returning home, they jetted off to Nice and are currently thought to be somewhere in the French riviera.

Archie has made his first trip abroad after just three months, how does this compare to Kate Middleton’s children?

Kate and Prince William, both 37, have three children together, Prince George, six, Princess Charlotte, four, and Prince Louis, one.

Prince George was born on 22 July 2013 and Kate took some time off after to enjoy maternity leave.

The royal made his first known trip abroad eight months later when he accompanied William and Kate on their official tour of New Zealand and Australia and the trip lasted just over two weeks.

His sister, Princess Charlotte, was born on 2 May 2015 and she had a longer wait until she was ten months old before heading abroad.

In March 2016, Kate and William took Charlotte and George on their first holiday as a four to the French Alps.

Prince Louis was born on 23 April 2018 but the family haven’t confirmed if he has been away at all yet.

Kensington Palace have said Kate and William are to take an official royal tour in the Autumn, although it is not known if the children will go with them.

Archie Harrison may already have been travelling the country but this shows no signs of slowing down as he is expected to visit South Africa later this year.
