AJ Pritchard: Strictly Come Dancing pro unveiled for brand new 'long-term' role

AJ Pritchard, 24, and his younger brother Curtis Pritchard, 23, have both been keeping busy with hectic work schedules indecent months. Having completed his first ever solo tour earlier this year, Strictly Come Dancing favourite AJ has already confirmed he will be hitting the road for the second time in 2020. He is currently back in rehearsals for the upcoming 2019 series of Strictly after he was confirmed to be returning to the professional line-up for the fourth year running. Curtis, meanwhile, rocketed to fame on Love Island 2019.

The dashing star had a somewhat turbulent time on the ITV2 dating programme, first striking up a romance with 26-year-old blonde bombshell Amy Hart.

After ditching Amy, however, he hit it off with Maura Higgins, 28, with whom he made it all the way to the final.

Since Love Island finished, Curtis has found himself in demand and recently announced he was joining the cast of The Greatest Dancer, where he will be supporting the contestants from his place behind the reception desk.

Now, AJ and Curtis have revealed they’re adding another role to their CVs, having landed positions on Lorraine Kelly’s chat show, Lorraine.

News of their latest project broke yesterday, with Curtis appearing on the programme to tell viewers: “I’m Curtis Pritchard and I want to bring a bit of joy back into someone’s life by helping them find their happy feet.

“Do you know someone who’s had a tough time and deserves a dance lesson to put a smile back on their face?” he asked.

“Please tell us why and share their story.”

Speaking to The Sun about his new job on Lorraine, AJ hinted there would be more to come from the pair.

“Lorraine and the team on the show have always been great to work with and I’m looking forward to working together long term,” he said.

“It’s been a whirlwind since leaving Love Island and I’m so excited to have the opportunity to join the team at Lorraine,” Curtis added.

“I know the positive effect dance can have on people’s lives and I can’t wait to get the chance to spread that message around with AJ.”
