Shirley Ballas: ‘Never experienced it before’ Strictly 2019 judge makes huge revelation

Strictly Come Dancing 2019 judge Shirley Ballas, 58, has been in a relationship with Danny Taylor, 44, since February.

The pair met when they starred alongside each other in the Jack And The Beanstalk pantomime last year.

Now, Shirley said she is ready to tie the knot for the third time.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: “I would marry him tomorrow, if he asked me.

“If this is what love is I have never experienced it before.”

Shirley went on to say she met Danny when he was having a “difficult” time with his long-term ex partner.

She added: “I met him at a difficult time in his life and we became friends first. We did not get together until February as a couple.”

The BBC judge first gushed over her new boyfriend earlier this year.

She told The Mirror: “It’s hard to find somebody who’s compatible with you.

“I feel like I’ve come full circle and I’ve found somebody. It’s great to have found him after being single for so long.”

Shirley was first married to Sammy Stopford, 63, from 1980 to 1984.

Following their divorce, she tied the knot with Corky Ballas, 58, in 1985, but the pair divorced 12 years later.

The former couple share 33-year-old son Mark Ballas, 33, together.

Elsewhere, Shirley is set for the return of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing next month.

Shirley and veteran judges Craig Revel Horwood, 54, and Bruno Tonioli, 63, will be joined by new judge Motsi Mabuse, 38.

Motsi was announced as a new judge last month after Dame Darcey Bussell, 50, announced she has left the show.

The professional ballerina was a judge on the panel for seven years.

Reacting to the news, Shirley shared a picture of Motsi to her Instagram page with the caption: “Thrilled to welcome the fabulous @motsimabuse to the @bbcstrictly family.

“What exciting news! We are going to have a ball, and you’re going to love every second xxx.”

Motsi is the older sister to Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse, 28.

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One next month.
