Peaky Blinders actor Sam Claflin and wife Laura Haddock SPLIT after six years of marriage

Sam Claflin, 33, who also starred in the Hunger Games, has announced he and his wife Laura Haddock, 33, have called it quits. The pair who tied the knot in 2013 released a joint statement via their respective Instagram accounts telling fans they have “legally separated”. The Peaky Blinders star shares three-year-old son Pip and 19-month-old daughter Margot with Laura, and the pair revealed they intend to co-parent their children. In view of his three million followers, he wrote: “Laura and I have decided to legally separate. We will move forward with nothing but love, friendship and a deep respect for one another whilst we continue to raise our family together.

“We won’t be commenting on this further. Thank you in advance for your support and respecting our privacy at this time. Both of us x.”

At the same time, Laura also published the same statement on her social media account.

The pair first started dating in 2011 and got married two years later.

The couple met in an audition room with Sam admitting he “saw the woman he wanted to marry”.

Speaking to The Sun, he previously divulged: “I walked into an audition room, I saw her and I knew. I’m not kidding for the life of me. She was reading in for a part and it’s my fourth free call.

“I’ve done previously three auditions with this other girl reading and this girl walked in and I walked out the audition, couldn’t care less if I got the part.

“I called my agent, I said, ‘Mate, I am in love’. He’s like, ‘How did the audition go, mate?’ I was like, ‘No, no, you don’t understand. I have just met the woman I want to marry’.”

In 2012, Sam said the Inbetweeners actress was his “female counterpart”.

He said: “She’s my female counterpart is the best way to describe her.

“She is my mum, she reminds me of my mum so much which I think – a guy will know, right? It’s important. Your mum knows like everything.”

Earlier this year, Laura gushed over her husband in a birthday tribute.

In view of her 214,000 followers, she said: “Happy birthday to this kind, generous, loving, beautiful man…@mrsamclaflin for all that you do. Happy birthday! x.”

In February, she also posted a sweet Valentine’s Day message alongside a photo of him and wrote: “My valentine…Thank you for being the greatest hubs, the greatest dad and more organised than anyone I know..”(sic)

Meanwhile, Sam is set to star in the latest BBC series of Peaky Blinders as Oswald Mosley.

Laura – who played Alison in The Inbetweeners – is set to play a barrister in the BBC drama Capture.
