Chrissy Teigen shared a candid selfie detailing a recent health scare she had thanks to a bout of altitude sickness. The model clued her fans in on the good, the bad and the ugly her latest struggle in a series of no holds bar Tweets.
“Very upset and saddened that my own birth state, Utah, has chosen to poison me with terrible altitude sickness. Did u know angioedema can be triggered from altitude sickness? learn something new every day! my lip about to explode. goodbye world,” the Cravings author said alongside a selfie of her swollen bottom lip.
In the picture, Teigen’s lip is almost twice the normal size. The brunette beauty was in her birth state of Utah to attend a dear friend’s wedding. Later the same night the Lip Sync Battle co-host shared a video of her and her swollen lip lying in bed.

“This is premeditated murder if you ask me,” the mother of two captioned the video.
Teigen called out her friends in the video for getting married in a place that is trying to “destroy her.” She certainly hasn’t lost her sense of humor due to her health issue.
Even though her lip was puffed up to an unnatural size, Teigen did not let that stop her and husband John Legend from having a great time. She used Instagram Stories to share several pictures and videos of the couple enjoying some quality time without their babies, Luna and Miles.

The model has loyal followers that were more than happy to share their own person allergic reactions and sick stories. There was no shortage of sympathy for Teigen and her illness. Some of her followers had a few choice words for the entire state of Utah.
Despite her health crisis, the model did have a great time celebrating her friends. At one point, Teigen shared an Instagram Story of her using an Oxygen treatment to battle her altitude sickness. It was not the weekend the Sports Illustrated model wanted, but in true fashion, she simply rolled with the punches.

Teigen’s sickness has fans recalling the time Kris Jenner got swollen lips when the Kardashian and Jenner family went on vacation. The lesson is to be careful. Altitude can cause a lip illness.
