Poldark net worth: How much money has Irish actor Aidan Turner made?

Aidan Turner is an Irish actor hailing from Clondalkin, Dublin.

He has had a successful career so far, moving from the small screen to major movie franchise The Hobbit seamlessly.

From fairly humble beginnings, Turner has forged a path in life that has lead him to fame and riches.

After working an an electrician after secondary school for a while he applied for Dublin’s Gaiety School of Acting.

He appeared in a number of plays, including Romeo and Juliet, after graduating from the acting school.

Turner then went on to appear in some small TV roles before landing what is considered his break out role of John Mitchell in Being Human, a drama programme starring a vampire and a ghost.

Thanks to this appearance Peter Jackson, the director of the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit films, enlisted Turner to play dwarf love interest Kili in The Hobbit films.

His performance was well received, he won award from Empire for Best Male Newcomer.

There was much excitement when Turner was cast as Ross Poldark in the BBC revival. Again he was honoured for this role when he was given the Impact Award at the National Television Awards in 2016.

Turner’s salary was not released by the BBC in April when the company annual reveals what stars are paid.

However, the reason Turner’s salary was not disclosed is because he is actually paid by production company Mammoth Screen for his work in the role.

On occasion, he has been seen walking her dog.

Poldark season five will feature eight episodes in the final series.
