Michelle Obama makes devastating confession on how Barack had to change in their relations

The former FLOTUS revealed that the couple had a disagreement over how to communicate, with Barack said to be unhappy to make phone calls to her. Writing in ‘Becoming’, Michelle addressed the issue and how she ordered the ex-US President to change his style. She wrote: “Barack told me, ahead of leaving, that he preferred letter writing.

“He put it ‘I’m not much of a phone guy.’

“I informed Barack that if our relationship was going to work, he’d better get comfortable with the phone.

“I announced: ‘If I’m not talking to you. I might have to find another guy who’ll listen.’

“I was joking but only a little.

“And so it was that Barack became a phone guy.”

The couple have two children, Malia and Sasha.

Maria celebrated her 21st birthday on July 4.

Sister Sasha also partied for another massive milestone when she turned 18 in June.

Barack’s term in office concluded when current US President Donald Trump prevailed over his Democratic rival Hillary Clinton three years ago.

Previously, Michelle told CBS’ Gayle King that she and Barack managed to keep their girls grounded due to their “regular” childhood.

She said during their time in office, her daughters were told to keep focus on where they were going and what they were doing as a result of their father’s prominent role.

The 55-year-old added: “Our focus was to make sure they did what they needed to do, and that meant pretend like all the craziness around them wasn’t happening.”
