Once Upon A Time In Hollywood after credits: Is there a post credits scene?

Director Quentin Tarantino is famed for his ‘cinematic universe’ where his films, despite spanning completing different eras and countries, are linked by subtle details. There’s the Big Kahuna Burger, which features in Reservoir Dogs, From Dusk Till Dawn and, most famously, in the hands of Samuel L Jackson’s formidable gangster Jules in Pulp Fiction. And how can we forget Vincent and Vic Vega, the brothers who sneakily feature in Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs – but only if fans are listening closely enough to pick up on the clues.

Tarantino has not left a stone unturned in his ninth project either, as another well known Easter egg pops back up for fans to enjoy.

*WARNING – SPOILERS BELOW*

Does Once Upon A Time In Hollywood have a post-credits scene?

Yes! The film does have an extra scene for Tarantino nerds to feast on.

The scene consists of Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio) doing an ad for Red Apple Cigarettes.

The ageing actor’s career has been in decline, and it seems he’s turned to a lucrative tobacco advert to help get him some booze money.

But he’s unimpressed by the cigarettes and the team, as the moment the director yells cut, he throws his cigarette to the floor and tells the crew off for using a bad image of him for a cut out.

Have we seen Red Apple Cigarettes before?

Mega Tarantino fans will recognise these from such films as Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Inglourious Basterds and Django Unchained.

But it’s best recognised from Kill Bill, when The Bride walks past a much larger, albeit more recent, ad for the cigarette brand.

Yet again Tarantino strikes with an Easter egg fans will love.

What is Once Upon A Time In Hollywood about?

The movies follows Rick and his stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) as Rick tries to reignite his acting hopes, with the help of some very famous faces – though these faces are reimagined in Tarantino’s epic style.

But the pair become embroiled in a tale as twisted as real life, as they come to meet the infamous Charles Manson on his cult ranch ahead of the murder of actress Sharon Tate.
