Stacey Dooley: Kevin Clifton’s Strictly 'partner' linked to former winner – here’s how

Strictly Come Dancing winner Stacey Dooley, 32, was announced as a guest judge on the show alongside Lorraine Kelly, 59, last month.

A tweet from the RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Twitter account read: “Oh you thought we were done spilling the tea? Well, we’re not.

“@StaceyDooley and @reallorraine will be making guest appearances on the iconic SNATCH GAME. @BBCThree’s #DragRaceUK will be on iPlayer this autumn.”

After the announcement, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK regular Michelle Visage, 50, was announced as a contestant on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

Since the news, Stacey’s boyfriend Kevin Clifton, 36, has hinted he would love to be partnered up with the television host.

In view of his 233,000 followers, the professional dancer has been liking a series of tweets about potentially dancing with Michelle this series.

He liked one tweet which read: “Well then this may be the first year of Strictly where I don’t vote for Kevin Clifton… unless he’s partnered with Michelle Visage.”

Another Twitter user wrote: “Ok, one last thing about Michelle Visage being on Strictly Come Dancing. I really hope she is paired with Kevin Clifton.”

However despite his desires, Kevin and his fellow professional dancers are yet to find out who they will be dancing with.

Michelle previously said she would love to be partnered up with Giovanni Pernice, 28.

Speaking on Lorraine, she said: “I’m Italian, so I would love Giovanni [Pernice].”

“I am very excited, I am over the moon,” she added. “I can’t wait to be dramatic and as amazing as I can be. I am 50 and I want to be representing women of the age.”

Stacey and Kevin won the Glitterball trophy back in December.

Three months after the show ended, Stacey’s ex-boyfriend Sam Tucknott claimed Kevin and Stacey are now in a relationship.

The duo remained quiet about the claims up until earlier this month.

In a candid chat with the Guardian, Stacey Dooley finally broke her silence about her romance with Kevin Clifton.

She said: “Kev and I have agreed not to go into too much detail about our private lives because you can’t really indulge that and then ask for privacy.

“That’s why we’ve turned down interviews that have offered us tens of thousands of pounds.”

She went on: “What I am happy to say is Kev’s amazing, I’m happy, life happens, I’ve got an amazing career and I’m very lucky.”

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One next month.
