Two-player Neymar deal

Barcelona have prepared an audacious offer to sign Neymar.

That’s according to ESPN FC, who claim the Catalan giants have prepared a two-player plus cash proposal to bring the Brazilian superstar back to the Nou Camp.

Barcelona are willing to offer £93million in cash with Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Rakitic also included in the deal.

ESPN FC say PSG are interested in Coutinho but aren’t too keen on Rakitic and would prefer full-back Semedo instead.

The French champions have already rejected Barcelona’s opening offer of Coutinho plus £55million for Neymar.

Bayern Munich talks

Bayern Munich have proposed a deal to Barcelona over the transfer of ex-Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho.

Bayern have already added the likes of Lucas Hernandez, Benjamin Pavard and Ivan Perisic to their ranks but may not be finished there.

Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Bayern have proposed a deal for Coutinho similar to the one they made with Real Madrid for the services of James Rodriguez in 2017.

The proposal is said to be for a two-year loan deal with no obligation to buy, which is essentially the same deal Bayern struck with Real two years ago when the Spanish giants wanted to offload James but no team was willing to offer a permanent transfer.

There was an option to buy the playmaker for £40million but Bayern opted not to make the move permanent.

Gareth Bale threat

Gareth Bale has reportedly threatened Florentino Perez after the club failed in an attempt to hijack Barcelona’s move for Neymar.

Real Madrid star Bale is still at the Bernabeu, despite Zinedine Zidane’s determination to get him off the books this summer.

And Catalan newspaper Sport say Real’s recently offer for Neymar has not sat well with Bale, who was going to be used as bait.

He is said to have threatened Perez, insisting he would speak out about his state of mind on treatment he considers ‘inappropriate’.

Life without Neymar

PSG boss Thomas Tuchel said he can understand fans’ frustration at Neymar as the Ligue 1 side started their title defence without the Brazilian.

The record signing was not named in the matchday squad for the comfortable 3-0 win over Nimes at the Parc des Princes with Edinson Cavani, Kylian Mbappe and Angel Di Maria all on the scoresheet.

But Neymar, said to be unsettled in France and who has been linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid, was also the focus of attention with a number of fans holding a banner telling him to “get lost” and chanting about the 27-year-old.

Tuchel, quoted in L’Equipe, said: “It’s tricky. I don’t know what to say. I saw it on my colleagues’ smartphones because I did not hear them (the chants) during the match.

“Can I understand it? Yes and no. He’s still our player, my player, and I protect all my players. He’s in my dressing room. I can understand that not everyone has liked what he has said and done.”
