Apple iPad 2019 could finally get the feature fans have been desperate for

Apple’s iPad is still the champion when it comes to tablets.

These devices continue to lead the way with a superior design and the iOS operating system that its rivals have found hard to match.

The current range includes the new iPad Mini, iPad Air and two iPad Pro devices that feature an almost bezel-free design and laptop-style performance.

However, it now seems these flagship tablets could soon get another performance boost with rumours suggesting improved photography is inbound.

Despite the iPad Pro being an incredibly capable device it still only features a single rear camera.

But that could change in 2019 with Japanese blog Mac Otakara speculating that the new Pro will arrive packing a triple rear camera system and the standard iPad will be upgraded to include a dual-lens camera.

If this rumour is true it could mean the iPads follow the new iPhone range which are also expected to get three rear lenses.

Along with this camera rumour, Mac Otakara also says it has spoken to supply chain sources with it suggesting an October launch for the next generation of iPads.

This would make sense as Apple often holds an event later in the year which is used to reveal devices other than the iPhone.

We’ll have to wait and see if this latest rumour becomes a reality but big Apple news could be just a few weeks away.

We’re fully expecting the next smartphones to be unleashed on the world in September with this month almost always used by the US firm to reveal its next iPhone.

Express.co.uk has been looking through previous launch events and has predicted the date we think Apple will reveal all – you can find our prediction here.

All rumours currently point to a new iPhone 11 and iPhone 11R being released next month with the biggest upgrade most likely to be coming to the camera.

Leaked images and renders show the iPhone 11 getting a triple rear snapper whilst the cheaper R model gets an upgraded dual-lens camera.

Other extras could include more power under the hood, via an updated processor, improved battery life and the inclusion of reverse wireless charging which will turn the iPhone into a portable power pack.
