Weight loss diet: Woman shed 3st in seven months with this plan – what did she eat?

Losing weight is not always easy and looking to others who have already done so can be a great way to get motivation. One woman lost a staggering 2st 8lb and used Reddit to reveal exactly how she did it. Posting pictures of her before and after losing weight, the Reddit user “abaker456” explained she slimmed from 13st 3lb to a much healthier 10st 5lb. Using the low-carb keto diet plan and intermittent fasting, she changed her lifestyle and slimmed down in just seven months.

As well as posting about her weight loss, “abaker456” revealed she is 24-years-old and 5ft 3in.

She said: “Keto and IF for the first four to five months. Now focused on simply low carb and intuitive eating.”

Kicking off her weight loss journey with the keto diet, the slimmer will have eaten foods low in carbs and high in fat.

The keto diet also has a moderate protein content and people following it will eat roughly 25 grams of net carbs per day.

By doing this, the body will enter into a fat burning state called ketosis, which promotes fat loss. 

To shape up, the slimmer probably ate keto-friendly foods including meats, fish, dairy, eggs, nuts, dairy and non-starchy vegetables.

Not only are these foods high in fat and low in carbs, they are also high protein which makes them perfect for the diet.

The dieter also used intermittent fasting to help her lose weight, which restricts dieters to eating all their meals within a set time window each day.

Some people may choose to eat within an eight hour window each day and fast for the remaining 16 hours.

“abaker456” explained she switched to a low-carb diet plan as she continued her weight loss journey.

On this plan, it is likely she ate similar foods to the keto diet but may not have been as strict on counting carbs.
