Joe Sugg: ‘Sorry Holly Willoughby!’ Strictly star apologises for Dianne Buswell’s blunder

Joe Sugg, 27, and Dianne Buswell, 30, who met on Strictly Come Dancing last year, where they reached the final, competed against one another in a Mr and Mrs game.

The couple were seen answering questions about the other in a video posted on Joe’s ThatcherJoe vlog on YouTube.

During one round, Dianne read out the question: “Which TV presenting duo does he prefer?”

However, the Strictly Come Dancing professional stumbled as she attempted to pronounce Holly Willoughby’s surname correctly.

She said to Joe: “Phillip Schofield and Holly Wallaloloby (Willoughby).”

Laughing away, Joe asked: “Who?”

“How do you say her name?” Dianne innocently asked.

Still giggling, Joe replied: “Willoughby,” he added: “What did you just say?”

Dianne said back: “I don’t know!”

Joe apologised on Dianne’s behalf as he turned to the camera and said: “Sorry Holly!”

Dianne went on to say the other categories correctly which were Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry, the late Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly plus Ant and Dec.

Later in the video, Dianne repeated the TV duo names as she asked Joe for his answer.

But, Dianne skipped saying Holly’s name, to the amusement of Joe.

The YouTube sensation joked he was looking forward to appearing on This Morning with his girlfriend just to see her pronounce Holly’s surname incorrectly.

He laughed: “I can’t wait to go on This Morning, whenever that next is, and I’m going to get you to say Holly Willoughby’s name to her, 100 per cent going to have to!”

The Australian native revealed she picked Ant and Dec for Joe’s answer, but he went on to explain he picked the Strictly Come Dancing duo.

Joe told Dianne: “I do like Ant and Dec but I went with Bruce and Tess, because of Strictly.”

He added: “And I’m most likely to bump into Tess than I am into Ant and Dec.”

The couple recently enjoyed a romantic trip to Mykonos, Greece, where Dianne revealed she was “devastated” after Joe failed to recognise her new top.

Strictly Come Dancing returns BBC One next month.
