ITV This Morning: ‘You’re not Piers Morgan!’ Judy Finnigan takes swipe at husband Richard

Judy Finnigan and Richard Madeley were guests on today’s instalment of This Morning as Rochelle Humes and Mollie King welcomed them to the sofa.

The presenting couple were on the show to discuss their recent Book Club competition and what’s it like to be grandparents.

However Richard couldn’t help but reveal how it felt a little odd to be guests on the show rather than the ones asking the questions.

Rochelle and Mollie suggested Richard could read the ‘What’s coming up next’ cue if he wanted once their chat was finished.

After today’s hosts had wrapped up the chat, Richard turned to the camera and said: “I’ll do this. Well the thing is, because I usually film next door in the Good Morning Britain studio so I do feel a little bit at home.”

But before he could start reading from the autocue, Judy jumped in and asked: “Why shouldn’t I do it?”

“Why shouldn’t Judy do it? Do you want to do it?” Richard hit back.

“You’re not Piers Morgan, and I’m not Susanna Reid,” she quipped taking a swipe at the star’s stints on Good Morning Britain.

Moving over to one side, Richard let his wife take over and said: “Judy you’re on…”

Reading from the autocue, Judy said: “Richard and Judy are staying with us, apparently we are…

“And in just a minute we’re going to have a proper good taste of Cornwall, oh we love Cornwall, when Paul Ainsworth rustles up his Friday fish.”

But Richard couldn’t resist taking a cheeky swipe at his wife’s presenting skills.

“I would have done it better, so much better,” he quipped.

As Rochelle and Mollie could be heard laughing, the ever professional Judy ignored Richard and finished the cue.

Meanwhile, yesterday Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes were furious as two guests snubbed This Morning.

Jack Fincham and Lauren Goodger were expected to join Celebs Go Dating co-star Lady Colin Campbell on the sofa.

However when it came to introducing the segment, the co-hosts revealed no one had seen the pair since the wrap party the night before.

Discussing the upcoming interview with Lady C, Ruth said: “She was supposed to be joined by Jack Fincham and Lauren Goodger,” Eamon said before Ruth interrupted: “Yes…supposed to be.”

“But we were told it was the wrap party of the programme last night and they haven’t…” Eammon continued.

“They were supposed to be here with us so if you’re watching guys, where are you? What are you doing?” Ruth added.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
