FIFA 20 beta: How to get beta code, PS4 and Xbox One start time, not working latest

FIFA 20 beta is going live today on the PS4 and Xbox One, with gamers soon able to test out the latest entry in EA’s smash hit footie series.

FIFA 20 beta codes have already been sent out by EA to select gamers with fans just waiting for the beta to go live.

The FIFA 20 beta is set to go live on PS4 and Xbox One at 9am pacific time on Friday August 9, which is 5pm BST.

So, if you’ve installed the FIFA 20 beta and are getting a message saying the game isn’t working then that’s why.

The only way to get a FIFA 20 beta code is to be sent one by EA, with players that opted in being selected at random to try out the beta.

Make sure you don’t fall for anyone trying to sell you a FIFA 20 beta code as these are tied to specific accounts.

So even if you get someone else’s FIFA 20 beta code it won’t work with your EA Account.

Progress from the FIFA 20 beta will not transfer over to the full game and the FIFA 20 beta is only available to play in the UK and US.

You will also need an online connection to play the FIFA 20 beta and an active subscription to either PS Plus or Xbox Live Gold.

In a post online EA explained: “Because of limited space in the Closed Beta, not everyone that’s opted in will get an email with a code.

“If you didn’t get an email with a code, our EA Advisors won’t be able to give you one.

“Trying to give your code to a friend? Your Beta code was created just for you and it can’t be transferred or shared with another player.”

The FIFA 20 beta will have access to a number of select modes which are as follows…

• Career

• FIFA Ultimate Team (FUT)

• Pro Clubs

• VOLTA FOOTBALL

Those that get to take part in the FIFA 20 beta have been warned not to stream or image capture anything from it.

Users that have done so in the past have seen their accounts banned, losing progress they’ve built up in all EA titles on that account.

The FIFA 20 beta is not available on PCs or the Nintendo Switch, but EA said there will be a “free trial” coming later this year.

The FIFA 20 beta runs until August 21 2019 on PS4 and Xbox One.

For those that miss out on the FIFA 20 beta, a FIFA 20 demo is expected to launch in September prior to the game’s highly anticipated release.
