Star Wars: HALF of filmgoers want series to END, new poll reveals – What about James Bond?

In the modern world of cinema, franchises, sequels and reboots are king; feeding off audience nostalgia and hunger for more of what they already know. Of the top 50 highest-grossing movies of all time, only Titanic is not part of a blockbuster franchise. But despite the box office success and popularity, a new poll of 2000 adults conducted by MyLotto24 has discovered that half of cinemagoers are sick of a number of franchises and want them to end. Here’s what percentage of audiences were fed up with Star Wars and others.

Rocky movies – 53%
Fast and Furious – 52%
Star Trek – 49%
Star Wars – 49%
Mission Impossible – 47%
Harry Potter – 42%
Jurassic Park – 42%
DC – 40%
Marvel – 38%
James Bond – 30%
Disney – 27%

Next up, Mission Impossible 7 and 8 are being shot back to back for 2021 and 2022.

Harry Potter spin-off series Fantastic Beasts has three sequels to go from Warner Bros, while Jurassic World 3 is set for 2021.

Then, of course, there’s DC, Marvel and Disney which will presumably go on indefinitely.

And the same goes for James Bond, with the 25th outing arriving in April next year.
