ORIGINAL: A mini Nintendo Direct is about to take place in honour of Pokemon Sword and Shield.

The Pokemon Sword and Shield presentation will take place at 2pm UK time, at which point Express Online will update this article with new information.

You can also expect the information to drop in the Pokemon Twitter page and Nintendo YouTube channel.

Plans to hold a Nintendo Direct-style Sword and Shield presentation were announced by the Pokemon Company on Twitter.

“Galar Research Update,” the tweet reads. “Show of hands, Trainers: Who’s ready for more information on Pokemon Sword and Shield?”

This was followed by confirmation on the timings of the upcoming Sword and Shield Direct.

While there’s no word on exactly what will be shown during the event, it’s a safe bet to assume we’ll get new gameplay, some new Pokemon announcements and a new trailer.

Of course, as with so many of these things, some information appears to have leaked early.

According to the leak, four new Pokemon will be revealed during the event, including some new Galar Forms for Sword and Shield.

One of the potential new Pokemon has been identified as Seagulp, which is described as having a big oval shaped mouth.

The Ice/Flying Pokemon is also said to have one of the strangest moves of any Pokemon ever.

If the leak is true, then all will be revealed within a new Pokemon Sword and Shield trailer.

The upcoming Pokemon sequel was recently given a November 15 release date, exclusively on Nintendo Switch.

The game contains lots of new features and a new generation of Pokemon, not to mention a brand new location loosely based on the United Kingdom.

One of the headline new features is called Dynamaxing, which transforms Pocket Monsters into huge beasts with more powerful special moves.

New starter Pokemon include a chimp called Grookey, a rabbit called Scorbunny and a water lizard known as Sobble.
