Jennifer Aniston: 'I miss a lot about that time' Friends actress opens up on Rachel role

Jennifer Aniston, 50, rose to fame as Rachel Green in the comedy series, which was on air from 1994 to 2004.

The actress, who was married to Brad Pitt for five years during that time, admitted she “misses” being a part of the show.

“I miss a lot about that time,” she said in an interview with InStyle.

“Having a job that was absolute, pure joy. I miss getting to be with people I love massively and respect beyond words.”

Jennifer added: “So yes, these days I’m super nostalgic. Anything can make me go ‘Aww.’ Even Fred Segal, I guess. I don’t know why that one got me.”

“I started to find my confidence when I was on Friends, for sure,” Jennifer explained. “In a way, being on that show was the ultimate trust exercise.”

“There were comfort in numbers there, so we all held each other up.”

Jennifer admitted she and her co-stars never expected Friends to be the massive hit it was.

“When Friends began [in 1994], we were all so wide-eyed and bushy-tailed,” the US star said.

“We couldn’t believe what was happening, and we had no idea what was coming.”

Jennifer also addressed a picture Courteney Cox, 55, (who played Monica Geller) uploaded to Instagram recently.

The actress shared a picture of the Friends crew including herself, Jennifer, Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing) and David Schwimmer (Ross Geller), before the show hit TV screens.

“I just remember not understanding that this was my life,” Jennifer recalled. “The level of gratitude, my god.”

Jennifer recently reunited with her ex-husband, Justin Theroux, as they came together to mourn the loss of their pet pooch.

Justin uploaded a series of images of their dog, Polly, as they remembered her life surrounded by other members of family.

“Tonight, at sunset, after a heroic struggle… our most loyal family member and protector, Dolly A. laid down her sword and shield.”

He continued: “She was surrounded by her entire family.”

Justin went on: “‘The one that never deserts, the one that never proves ungrateful… is the dog— faithful and true, even in death’. -George Vest.”

“Rest In Peace Dolly #adoptdontshop #rescuedog,” he added.

In the pictures, Dolly, who Jennifer adopted back in 2006, was laid to rest covered in petals.

Another saw Jennifer and Justin holding hands alongside their beloved dog while a third snap saw Dolly wrapped up in a blanket.
