Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay UPDATE: Worrying signs for upcoming CD Projekt release

Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay details have been revealed ahead of next year’s release date.

Cyberpunk 2077 is shaping up to be one of this generation’s biggest and best games when it launches on April 16 for PS4 and Xbox One.

With the release date creeping ever closer, new information has started to trickle out about how the game will play.

According to a post on Reddit, the latest edition of Polish magazine PSX Extreme features a ten page article on the upcoming new release.

One of the more exciting announcements is that Cyberpunk 2077 will have a new game plus mode.

Worryingly, however, the same preview suggests that driving vehicles isn’t quite up to scratch.

Likewise, character AI “could be a bit better”, although there’s a good chance both will be improved in time for launch. Fingers crossed that’s the case.

Elsewhere, the game is said to have a deep relationship system for making friends and taking partners.

The skill system, meanwhile, is described as huge. Players will reportedly gain progression points for learning new skills and boosting attributes.

Levelling up certain attributes lets you install specific chips, although players can also improve skills by performing actions more often.

Using one weapon, for example, improves your ability with it. The same is also said to be true for melee and hacking.

Street Cred – which is gained by completing tasks – gives players access to dangerous missions with greater rewards. Speaking of missions, side quests can influence the game’s story and ending.

Unfortunately, however, fans will have to wait a few more weeks for new Cyberpunk 2077 gameplay to be revealed.

According to a hidden message discovered within a Cyberpunk 2077 unboxing video posted by CD Projekt, new gameplay won’t be revealed until Gamescom in August.

Cyberpunk 2077’s April 16 release date was officially revealed during the Xbox E3 conference.

In a bizarre move, the release date was revealed by Keanu Reeves, who will play a character in the game.
