Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly: 'The games begin’ Strictly host addresses show reunion

Claudia Winkleman, 47, and Tess Daly, 50, reunited for their first day together back on the BBC series of Strictly Come Dancing today. In view of her 431,000 Instagram followers, Claudia shared a snap of herself alongside her co-host as they posed for a photo. Clad in co-ordinating sparkly black ensembles, Claudia captioned the image: “Let the games begin @bbcstrictly @tessdaly.” Tess also shared a video of them both joking around together at the promotional shoot for the upcoming series of the dancing competition.

The blonde beauty branded her co-presenting pal her “number one” as Claudia appeared to make a witty comment, which left Tess roaring wth laughter.

In view of her 445,000 followers, she captioned the clip: “Back with my number 1 #strictly.”

Fans rushed to comment on the post, as one person said: “The dynamic duo.”

Another person commented: “Can’t wait for Strictly.”

While a third person added: “That’s come around fast! Looking good.”

The reunion comes shortly after Strictly bosses confirmed the 15 celebrities taking part in the new series.

Broadcaster Anneka Rice and former World Champion rower James Cracknell were announced as the latest contestants to be taking part in the show.

Other stars who will be competing to lift the Glitterball Trophy include former professional footballer Alex Scott, Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing, American star Michelle Visage and EastEnders actress Emma Barton.

Elsewhere, Tess recently announced she would be taking part in a new project away from Strictly.

However, the news has been kept quietly under wraps, with the presenter only sharing tiny details.

The mother-of-two shared a video, saying: “So I’m doing a photoshoot today for a secret project which is a passion project of mine.

“I’m so excited and I can’t wait to share with you soon.”

Tess captioned the post: “Magic Monday, Dream project in the making #interiors.”

Fans flocked to comment on the video revelation, with many complimenting the presenter.

One person said: “Hope it all goes well,” while another person added: “Look beautiful Tess.”

Strictly Come Dancing returns to BBC One this month.
