Philippe Coutinho
El Larguero, a programme Spanish radio station Cadena SER, claim Philippe Coutinho to Arsenal is close.
They cite journalist Yago de Vega and claim that late last night, Coutinho to the Emirates was practically done.
The Brazilian has been offered out by Barcelona but the Catalan giants want a huge loan fee to let him go for a season.
Dayot Upamecano
Arsenal have been told that RB Leipzig have no plans to sell Dayot Upamecano this week.
The Gunners have just 48 hours to do any more transfer deals and Unai Emery wants a centre-back.
But despite suggestions Leipzig want £70m for the Frenchman, the Mirror claim they have actually been pointed towards the player’s £92m release clause.
That would put the 20-year-old way out of Arsenal’s price range.
Neil Lennon on Tierney
Kieran Tierney is set to return to full fitness in the coming fortnight, says Neil Lennon.
Amid the speculation of a move to Arsenal, the Celtic defender has battled with injured after undergoing double hernia surgery.
Fresh reports claimed Tierney could be set to sit out for another two months.
But Lennon insists that is not the case, in what will be a boost for Arsenal if they try again to sign the player.
“He’ll be fit in a week or two,” Lennon told CelticTV.
“He still has some adductor pain but the pubic problem is starting to settle and he’s over the double hernia.
“I know there’s talk of him being out for another eight weeks, but that’s nonsense.
“I don’t know where that’s come from because that’s certainly not the case at all.”
Kieran Tierney
Celtic are still expecting a fresh bid for Kieran Tierney after the sale of Takuma Asano to Partizan Belgrade stumped up further cash for the Gunners this week.
The Hoops have turned down two bids for the left-back and want £25million in full to sell him.
The two clubs are thought to have been only a couple of million apart in talks with Arsenal having been keen to split the fee into instalments.
And the £1m gained from Asano’s sale only boosts their finances as the north London club look to seal a late move.
