Avengers Endgame: 'Thanos death is NOT the end' – What and WHO comes next is horrifying

Oh Thanos, Thanos, so bad they killed him twice. The Mad Titan was beheaded before his past self zoomed into the present and had to be dispatched by the use of the new Infinity Gauntlet. But Thanos was no ordinary villain. He was extraordinarily intelligent and also had the powers of all Six Infinity Stokes to not only boost his power but expand his understanding of the universe – and the dimensions beyond. Thanos spent years planning his victory. Did he also set up a truly horrifying second stage AFTER The Snap?

Thanos was always thinking steps ahead of everyone else.

Fans have already pointed out that any basic understanding of population growth means halving the population of the Earth, for example, is only a temporary ‘solution’ to a universe Thanos believed was no longer able to sustain itself. In less than fifty years we would be back where we started.

Whether or not this is a gigantic plot hole, A powerful new theory argues Thanos didn’t just return the Infinity Stones to their atomic form early in Endgame. He was also setting something truly terrible in motion.

This is how one of the MCU’s greatest and most villains will be brought into the upcoming Phase Four or Five. Especially if Thanos ‘allowed’ the Avengers to kill him that first time because he knew the legacy of The Snap was safe.

Redditor UwardSpiral00 (via ComicBook.com) says: “As part of his (Thanos) plan to remove the temptation of the stones but still ensure his great work would not be in vain, he created an insurance policy, at the same time that he was destroying the stones.

“An agent of destruction that would keep life in check by not only being a cosmically powered force of nature that mere mortal heroes couldn’t suppress, but also by using burgeoning populations and biospheres for its own sustenance. A world devourer. And I think that’s how they’ll bring Galactus into the MCU.”

AVENGERS ENDGAME WRITERS CONFIRM THERE WAS ONLY ONE REASON THE AVENGERS WERE ABLE TO KILL THANOS THE FIRST TIME

Galactus, of course, has never been created directly by Thanos in the source comics but he has already been on screen in the previous previous Fantastic Four movies, with his herald The Silver Surfer.

With Kevin Feige confirming plans to bring in the new character finally reacquired from 20th Century Fox, the way is clear for Galactus and the Fantastic Four.

Did Thanos really open the gate?
