PS4 Surprise UPDATE: Download this FREE PlayStation game bonus NOW

The PlayStation Store has been updated with new PS4 game experiences, most of which can be downloaded and played for free.

Some rewards are reserved as exclusive content for PS Plus members, while most demos can be added to your digital collection free of charge.

And console owners looking for something a little different this weekend have plenty of choices, although some do have their own hardware requirements.

So if you’re a fan of free stuff, this weekend has some top free choices available on the PlayStation Store.

This includes the Blood & Truth demo, which was launched earlier this year by Sony and developed by SIE London Studio.

This highly acclaimed title is only available on the PS4 and comes with another stipulation for those wanting to check it out.

Blood & Truth is a VR game, meaning you will need a PlayStation VR headset and be over the age of 18.

Blood & Truth takes place in modern-day London, focusing on a rescue mission amid a bubbling criminal underworld.

Ryan Marks, an elite Special Forces soldier, is looking to save his family from a ruthless criminal overlord.

And needing only 10GB in space, gamers should be able to fit this new intriguing experience onto their PS4 consoles.

It should be noted that Blood & Truth has additional Light Gun support but does not boast much in the way of online multiplayer.

Here’s more from the official game description, which explains: “Our goal with Blood & Truth was to take what we learned on London Heist and use that experience to create the ultimate PS VR blockbuster – one where the player could truly live out their wildest action hero fantasies in a full-length first-person shooter.

“Blood & Truth pushes you through a rollercoaster ride of a story line, set against iconic London locations.

“You’ll be dual-wielding automatic pistols while leaping from exploding buildings, exchanging gunfire from the back of an armoured vehicle, battling through hordes of enemies on daring rescue missions, and chasing down targets through the grimy back-streets of London.

“To ensure we nailed that all-action summer blockbuster feel, we worked with Hollywood producer/director Rick Porras (whose credits include Lord of the Rings, Contact and Forrest Gump) on our mo-cap shoots, alongside a great cast of actors including Colin Salmon (Mortal Engines, London Has Fallen, Resident Evil).”

And the new Blood & Truth demo is just one of a number of new options that have been added to the PlayStation Store over the past weeks. Gamers can also download a demo of Tokyo RPG Factory’s latest game, Oninaki, today from the PSN.

The full version of the game is arriving on PS4 on August 22, 2019, and is preceded by this new demo version, which weighs in at just under 2GB and offers a taste of the new story mode.

“In Oninaki, you become the Watcher Kagachi, travelling between the world of the living and beyond the veil to the world of the dead, to save the souls of the Lost. You will experience a tumultuous tale of life and death, bound to the precepts of reincarnation,” the official description reads.

“In executing his duties as a watcher and fighting the Fallen, Kagachi is possessed by the spirits of daemons, each fulfilling the kinds of “job” roles you would see in a traditional RPG.”

Other new choices available this weekend include the PES 2020 Demo, which offers a number of online and offline modes to check out, along with over 13 teams to play as.

The bad news this week is that the PS4’s next major free-to-play RPG release, Caravan Stories, has been delayed.

“We understand that delays are frustrating, know that a lack of information can make it even worse, and we apologise for not being more clear,” a message from the dev team explains.

“We’re doing everything we can to get to the point where we can announce our new date as soon as possible. Stay tuned.”
