Jeremy Clarkson: ‘Well that's it’ The Grand Tour star, 56, reveals shock health scare

Jeremy Clarkson, 56, opened up about a frightening moment where he “figured” he had bowel cancer. The Grand Tour host revealed he “nearly had a heart attack” when he spotted a red stain around the toilet bowl after going to the bathroom. Recalling the shocking moment in his column for The Sun, Jeremy explained: “I looked back to see what I’d produced and damn near had a heart attack.” Describing the scene, he said the “whole bowl was stained blood red”.

The former Top Gear star then admitted he jumped to the conclusion that he had bowel cancer.

Jeremy recalled his thought process at the time, adding: “Well that’s it, I’ve got bottom cancer.”

Much to the presenter’s relief, he suddenly remembered he tucked into some beetroot the night before.

Joking about his realisation, Jeremy continued in reference to the vegetable: “I swear to God that stuff should come with a health warning, advising people that it will make your number twos the colour of Marilyn Monroe’s lips.”

The outspoken TV personality went on to explain how the cancer scare made him worry about leaving his three children, Emily, 25, Finlo, 21, and 23-year-old Katya.

Jeremy’s health admission comes after he complained about doctors’ claims regarding hay fever.

The car enthusiast took to Twitter in view of his seven million followers to speak out about the issue.

He tweeted: “Doctors: can we drop the nonsense?

“There’s no such thing as a ‘non-drowsy’ anti-histamine.”

The star then partly blamed the condition and treatment option for causing him to fail his O-Level, now called A-Level, exams.

He wrote in a separate post: “I failed all my O and A levels because of hay fever and the anti-histamines I took to combat it. Also I did no revision.”

Elsewhere, Jeremy appeared confused as he responded to a fan who claimed he hadn’t spotted the star on TV recently.

The viewer wrote on the micro-blogging site: “I miss @JeremyClarkson from my TV screen.”(sic)

Jeremy noticed the comment and issued a quizzical response, replying: “But I’m still on it.”

After seeing The Grand Tour host’s retort, the fan wrote back and explained why they found it difficult to watch his shows on Amazon Prime.

They tweeted: “Ah yeah fella but repeats on Dave don’t count and Amazon Prime has like zero content available in Ireland!

“Besides, along with my WWE Network subscription for the wrestling & FEI.tv for the showjumping, I’m too broke for Amazon. Still missed bro, still missed.”(sic)

The Grand Tour will turn to Amazon Prime Video with season four soon.
