Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield issue Gino D’Acampo WARNING on This Morning

Gino D’Acampo regularly appears on This Morning, showing hosts, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, and viewers tasty dishes which they can whip up at home.

But as he cooks and talks, the Italian chef always leaves the presenters in fits of giggles as he accidentally says words wrong or makes hilarious innuendos.

Gino, who presents Channel 5 show, Gino’s Win Your Wishlist, revealed Holly and Phil now give him a warning before he goes on air.

In an interview with Express.co.uk, he said: “They usually [give me a warning] when there’s a serious matter going on, a big political thing or something.”

Gino added: “I don’t always listen to them, only because I forget. I don’t always listen!”

The TV star explained it’s not the “easiest thing in the world” to multitask on the show.

He said: “Everybody thinks it is easy to cook, inspire people, explain things, make sure the food looks good.

“And, remember all of this is done in my second language, you know this is not my first language so… It is not the easiest thing in the world.”

Gino said he loves to go back to This Morning whenever he can as he gets to catch-up with his pals.

“To me, going to This Morning is going to see my mates,” he spilled.

“I’ve known Holly and Phillip for a long time now and it’s an easy show for me to do.”

He continued: “I love the This Morning viewers and it’s one of the shows where they allow me to do and say or whatever I want.”

Gino also jumped to the defence of Phillip after reports of an apparent feud between him and Amanda Holden emerged.

He said: “Talking about Phillip Schofield is like talking about Terry Wogan.

“These iconic people, they are the masters of television. They are super professional, super friendly, very easy to be with.”

Gino said working with Phillip is a “real joy” and insisted he only works with people who are “good people”.

The chef continued: “He’s a real a friend of mine, they’re not always just colleagues, he’s a real joy.”

Meanwhile, Gino also spoke about his Channel 5 show, Gino’s Win Your Wishlist, and admitted he “loves” doing it.

“It’s one of my favourite things to film,” he said. “Channel 5 are very generous to me, they say we want you to do it and we want you to be yourself and just relax, enjoy. And that’s exactly what I do.”

He continued: “I never thought I would do a show like this, I do cooking shows and I run restaurants, I write books and that’s my job.”
