Hobbs & Shaw: FOUR end credit scenes and TWO huge surprises

The explosive action blockbuster roars into cinemas today. It is packed with the expected high-octane chases, ludicrous battles and cheesy dialogue. In short, it is everything its fans are hoping for. And more, it seems, since there are two absolutely huge surprises in the movie. Obviously, don’t read beyond this point if you haven’t seen the movie yet, or don’t want to know any details.  WARNING MAJOR SPOILERS.

Two massive superstar cameos are closely linked to the end credit scenes and to what is expected to follow in a potential series of sequels.

The original clue lies with the director David Leitch, himself. He has strong previous action credentials after bring Charlize Theron’s stunning Atomic Blonde to the big screen, and he followed that with 2018’s Deadpool 2. And he brought some familiar faces across from the Marvel comic book smash.

This is the final warning to stop reading if you don’t want to know which two Hollywood A-listers have major cameos in the Fast & Furious spin-off.

HOBBS & SHAW: THE ROCK WAS BANNED FROM USING SHOCKING EYEBALL SCENE

HOBBS & SHAW CAMEOS

The first cameo appears throughout the movie, including in two of the end credit scenes. Yes, Ryan Reynolds has a significant supporting role as smart-talking Agent Lock. His hilarious banter with Hobbs is everything you would expect.

The second major cameo is someone who has already co-starred with The Rock. Comic actor Kevin Hart shared the screen with the star also known as Dwayne Johnson in buddy bromance caper Central Intelligence, as well as the hugely successful Jumanji reboot and its upcoming sequel. This times he plays a hopeless US Air Marshall who is desperate to be part of the Hobbs & Shaw gang.

There are also roles for two other Deadpool 2 actors. Eddie Marsan, who played the horrible headmaster of the School for Mutant Rehabilitation, appears as scientist Professor Andreiko.  Rob Delaney, who played the hapless X-Force non-mutant Peter, appears here as Agent Loeb.

HOBBS & SHAW END CREDIT SCENES

The first is a heartwarming scene with Helen Mirren”s hardbitten Magdalene Shaw finally seeing her estranged children Deckard and Hattie reunited.

Two scenes involve Reynold’s Agent Lock, still smart-talking back to Hobbs during and after a blood-soaked fight.

The final scene is at the very end of the credits and shows Hobbs winning the latest hilarious round of one-upmanship with Shaw.
