Emmerdale spoilers: Tracy Metcalfe’s fate sealed in factory fire twist 'It's emotional'

Emmerdale is going to kill off a beloved character this evening as the factory gets torched.

While it’s currently unknown who starts the fire and more importantly, who dies, Tracy Metcalfe actress Amy Walsh has suggested it could be her.

The character will find herself trapped in the factory while the blaze rushes through and it seems she could be the one to perish.

Amy said on Lorraine this morning how all soap actors have to be prepared to be killed off at any moment.

She told stand-in host Christine Lampard: “For all soap actors, you have to be glad of your time there and grateful if it does end.”

Speaking more directly about Tracy, Amy continued: “She shouldn’t have been there and she sneaks in and she gets caught.”

Although she couldn’t reveal too much, Amy did say it “all kicks off” this evening.

The actress added: “It’s been a really sad and emotional storyline because you know someone’s going at the end of it.

“But at the same time it’s such a big stunt we’re all really proud of.”

What’s more, it seemed it was a difficult stunt to film as she recalled feeling like she was really in the fire.

While Tracy is trapped and as risk of death, Amy and Kerry become extremely guilty for their part in it.

Amy star, Natalie, said of the ordeal: “They’re both dealing with it differently, so, although they’ve got each other and can share with each other what’s going on, they both have very different ideas about how to go about doing with it – because Kerry and Amy can be so different.

“Whatever one thinks is the sensible thing to do, the other one would definitely think the opposite.”

Could Amy and Kerry’s different approaches to cover up their crime lead them into trouble?

Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV.
