12.40pm UPDATE: Bruno Fernandes close to Man Utd switch

Manchester United are close to sealing the signing of Bruno Fernandes, according to journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

Manchester United have always been considered frontrunners in the race for the midfielder’s signature, however, particularly after the recent exits of Ander Herrera and Marouane Fellaini.

And, now, Italian journalist Di Marzio has claimed that United are on the cusp of securing the player’s signature.

It is claimed United are talking with Sporting to ‘close the deal’.

And that would see him become the club’s third signing of the summer after Daniel James and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

12.20pm UPDATE: Barcelona keen to seal Neymar return

Barcelona reportedly think PSG cannot afford to keep Neymar as it would spark controversy behind the scenes, reports say.

Barcelona want to sign Neymar from PSG and are pressing to get a deal done this transfer window.

The Catalan giants already splurged £108million on Antoine Griezmann earlier this month but, having gone four years without the Champions League trophy, Ernesto Valverde’s side want more.

Neymar quit Barcelona for PSG two years ago but has come to regret his decision to move the Parc des Princes.

Negotiations regarding a potential transfer concerning the 27-year-old have, however, failed to pay off so far.

Yet Catalan newspaper Sport say Barcelona feel that PSG simply cannot afford to keep Neymar.

Ronaldo reportedly backed the move, giving the green light to Juve landing the striker.

11.45am UPDATE: Patrice Evra calls Paulo Dybala

Manchester United hero Patrice Evra has stepped in to try and convince Paulo Dybala to swap Juventus for Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have agreed a deal with the Serie A champions for the Argentine forward to move to the club with Romelu Lukaku going in the opposite direction.

Now Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claim Evra has convinced Dybala to move to United by calling his former Juventus team-mate.

Dybala’s agent was in London yesterday to hold talks with United representatives.

With an agreement struck between the Red Devils and Juventus it looks like Lukaku will head to the Old Lady instead.

That is only if Dybala can be convinced to make the move to United though, who of course have no Champions League football this season.

10.15am UPDATE: Arsenal to hijack Everton over Moise Kean

Arsenal have contacted agent Mino Raiola in an attempt to hijack Everton’s deal for Moise Kean, according to reports.

However, it is claimed the Juventus striker has rejected the chance to move to north London and that he remains internet on completing his switch to Merseyside.

Everton agreed a £36million deal with Juve on Monday and the 19-year-old is set to sign a contract before the end of the week.

The Daily Mail claim the Gunners contacted Raiola – who represents Kean – over the phone on a bid to convince him to change his mind.

But the player is said to have not been keen as they cannot guarantee him first-team football ahead of the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.
