Lee (played by Kris Mochrie) turned Victoria’s (Isabel Hodgins) life upside down earlier this year on Emmerdale when he raped her during the ITV soap’s Big Night Out episodes, with the traumatised villager discovering she was pregnant as a result of the attack.
Victoria made the decision to keep the baby as he brother Robert (Ryan Hawley) sought revenge on Lee, who alongside his mother Wendy Posner (Susan Cookson) demanded the expectant mother to give his access to the child once it was born.
Earlier this week, Lee told Victoria he would walk out on her and the child’s life if she gave him £10,000 and issued a public apology for the allegations she made against him.
As the village Murder Mystery event got underway last night, Lee double the money he demanded from Victoria and after Robert paid the £20,000, the bad by saw red as the evil character taunted him over his sister’s ordeal.
After being rather regnant about his attack on Victoria, Robert told Lee “You’re not walking away from this,” before striking him around the head with a shovel.
Lee was left unconscious as a result of Robert’s attack and it was Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) how discovered the lifeless body as he believed it was part of the Murder Mystery event.
Rishi’s wife and local doctor Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) then swooped in as it soon became clear Lee wasn’t a part of the game and quickly called upon an ambulance for the evil character.
Viewers quickly took to Twitter to comment on Manpreet’s response to assessing Lee, noticing the doctor failed to enact medical attention on the lifeless body.
One fan posted: “emmerdale so why isn’t the doctor attempting CPR on the rapist oh well got what he deserved [sic],” a move by Manpreet which seems to have left viewers confused over Lee’s fate.
The father of Victoria’s child was then seen being carted off by paramedics as Robert’s husband Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) told his beloved to say Lee had attacked him first.

With the double bill ending on a traditional cliff hanger, viewers were left pondering whether this was really the end of Lee.
One viewer questioned on the micro-blogging site in suggestion Lee could be alive : “So Lee isn’t dead just yet then #emmerdale [sic],” as another added: “emmerdale Please let Lee be dead [sic].”
A third theorised what could happen to Lee if he’s still alive, posting: “Perhaps he’ll come round & have amnesia #lee or maybe he really is dead #emmerdale.”
Lee is yet to face the repercussions of his attack against Victoria, with a fourth sharing: “I hope Lee is alive so he can be brought to justice #Emmerdale @emmerdale @Hodge_Isabel.”
Viewers will have to tune in tonight to discover Lee’s fate, but could the attack be the beginning of the end for Robert who will be leaving the soap later this year.
Elsewhere in the village, a deadly blaze is about to rip through the Sharma factory with one life claimed as a result of the fire.
Upcoming scenes will see Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh) trapped in the building as the fire takes hold after Kerry Wyatt (Laura Norton) and daughter Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) inadvertently start the blaze.
Speaking of the terrifying scenes, actress Amy Walsh, 32, told The Sun: “I was told that Tracy was going to be involved in a huge fire at the factory and I was like, ‘No!’
“So I was anxious, because that’s how the soap world is.
“You have to be prepared for your character possibly being written out one day,” but is this really the end of the soap sweetheart?
Emmerdale continues tonight at 7pm on ITV.
