Plane couple shock with unpleasant action on aircraft floor – would you do this?

Flights are rarely the time to get a good night’s sleep, especially if you’re travelling Economy class. Plane passengers can often be seen contorted in unusual positions as they attempt to kip during a flight. There are some lengths most travellers wouldn’t go to in a bid to get a decent slumber. But two travellers spotted on a flight have amazed after they opted for a very unorthodox approach to sleeping on a plane.

An Instagram photo of the pair has gone viral after it was shared by account passengershaming.

It shows one of the fliers lying across a row of three seats, his head by the window.

His fellow traveller, however, has decided to lie down on the floor in front of their pal.

They can be seen lying between the rows of seats as they attempt to get to sleep.

Instagram users have been shocked by the image, with some claiming the traveller on the floor is female and should have been offered the seats.

“That’s gross… no way!” one person wrote. Another commented: “Absolutely no. The floor is one of the dirtiest parts.”

A third Instagram user posted: “What’s more obvious for me here is the fact the guy is on the comfier seats and the girl is on the floor!”

Some viewers could relate to the travellers’ predicament: “When you are 20 hours into the 25-hour flight from Australia to the UK, the floor looks very comfortable!!!” one person commented.

Flight attendants have previously revealed how dirty plane floors are and that fliers should not walk around with bare feet.

“Flight attendants have seen everything from vomit to blood to spilt food hit that carpet,” cabin crew Linda Ferguson said.

“We see people walking from their seats into the bathrooms all the time barefoot and we cringe because those floors are full of germs.”

Another flight attendant posted on a Reddit thread: “Please do not ever walk into a toilet with bare feet,”

“I promise you, nine times out of 10, that is not water on the floor.

They added: “The toilets are often absolutely disgusting and get deep cleaned only at the end of a route.

“For us, this could be from one side of the world to the other… imagine how lovely they are at the end of a 12-hour flight with 200 people using them.”

On one occasion a man was caught on camera doing something particularly vile – urinating in the middle of the plane aisle.
