Moise Kean sends message to Everton fans as medical scheduled to complete £27.5m transfer

The 19-year-old striker is to join the Toffees in a deal worth an initial £27.5million which could rise to £36.6m with add-ons.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claims there is no buy-back clause included in the deal despite Kean’s immense potential.

The two clubs are however said to have a good relationship and so if the Premier League side receive future bids for the player, Juventus will be offered the opportunity to match it.

Kean will fly to England on Wednesday to complete his medical and sign a five-year contract at Everton worth around €3million (£2.75m) a season, says Romano.

And the Italy international dropped hinted at his excitement over his imminent switch with a post on his Facebook account.

“Always ready for the new challenges,” Kean said simply with a picture of him stepping off of a plane.

Kean has a solid goalscoring record with the teenager having scored six times in 13 Serie A outings last season.

The Juve academy graduate has eight goals in total at senior level for the Old Lady, from just 21 matches.

Kean, the youngest goalscorer ever in a competitive match for Italy, also has two goals in three caps for his country.

The forward will become Marco Silva’s fourth signing of the summer after Jonas Lossl, Andre Gomes and Fabian Delph.

The Merseyside outfit have distanced themselves from returning for Wilfried Zaha, however.

Reports suggested that the Blues submitted a follow-up bid for the Crystal Palace winger after their initial £52m bid was rejected.

It was claimed an improved offer of £55m plus James McCarthy and Cenk Tosun was tabled.

But Everton, in a statement, declared: “”A bid was made over the weekend, which was turned down.

“Both clubs agreed that was the end of the matter.”

Everton announced the sale of Idrissa Gueye to Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday, bringing in around £30m to let the 29-year-old midfielder depart.

Silva could make a move for Southampton’s Mario Lemina as a replacement for Gueye, while Everton are also in talks for Mainz midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin and have been tipped to try and sign Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori as an alternative to Kurt Zouma.

French centre-back Zouma spent last season on loan at Goodison Park but Frank Lampard wants to keep him at Chelsea this coming season with the Londoners operating under a transfer embargo.
