Galaxy Note 9 fans face disappointment ahead of Note 10 release

There’s just over a week to go until Samsung lifts the lid on its next-generation Note 10 device.

This phone is expected to bring a swathe of bonus features to the brand including a bigger display, more power and a triple rear camera.

Like the Galaxy S10, this snapper should offer the ability to shoot photos with an improved zoom and wide-angle lens.

Other features fans can expect to see include the addition PowerShare, which will refill other devices and accessories wirelessly, plus refinements to the S Pen stylus.

These upgrades should offer plenty of good news for fans of the Note series but there’s currently a big disappointment for those wanting to buy the older Note 9.

This phone was announced last August and was one of the best devices of 2018 with it featuring a dual-lens camera, huge XX-inch screen and much-improved S Pen.

Perhaps one of the only issues with the Note 9 was its very high price.

However, this phone is now offering some serious value for money with prices being dropped to just £649 in recent weeks.

That’s a big saving off its original price but, disappointingly, you might struggle to get one.

Most retailers are showing no stock with Argos, Currys, John Lewis and even Samsung’s own store not having any availability to buy this device.

It’s currently unclear when more Note 9s will become available but, right now, it appears the only option to get a new Note SIM-free could be to wait for Samsung to reveal its news next week.

Samsung has set up a stock alert page on its website which allows fans to get an instant update when more devices become available.

If you do want to know more about the Note 10 then pop August 7 in your diary.

That’s the date when Samsung will hold its Unpacked event in New York with things expected to get underway at around 9pm BST.

Along with the new phone, we are also expecting the Korean technology firm to reveal its updated wearables which could include an upgrade to its Galaxy Watch.

Express.co.uk will be bringing you all the news live from Samsung Galaxy Unpacked event on August 7.
