Transfer news LIVE: Man Utd to make Maguire move, Pepe set for Arsenal, Liverpool exit

08.00 UPDATE: Tottenham to land Lo Celso

Giovani Lo Celso is set to arrive in London this week to complete a club record transfer to Tottenham.

The Betis winger is expected to arrive for a Medical and will become Tottenham’s biggest ever signing.

Tottenham have already broken their transfer record this summer with the signing of Tanguy Ndombele but will go again with Lo Celso.

The deal for the Betis star is expected to be over £55m.

07.45 UPDATE: Neymar to Barcelona claim

Samuel Eto’o claims Barcelona don’t need to sign Neymar this summer despite being linked to the Brazil star.

Barcelona want to bring back the forward this summer despite selling him two years ago.

But former striker Eto’o claims Lionel Messi is still the main star and will continue to shine with or without Neymar.

“If Neymar comes we will be happy but having Messi is the best signing of each year. With Messi we score two more and we can win.”

07.30 UPDATE: Maguire deal in coming days

Manchester United will meet Leicester’s £80m valuation in the coming days, according to the Irish Independent.

United are looking at their options in defence and want to land Maguire but have been resistant to pay so much.

But with Eric Bailly picking up an injury their hand has been forced.

They will pocket money from the sale of Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan and will use that on signing Maguire from Leicester in a deal that will see him become the most expensive defender in the world.

07.15 UPDATE: Pepe to complete Arsenal switch

Nicolas Pepe is set to complete his move to Arsenal this week after a £72m fee was agreed.

Arsenal are set to shatter their transfer record with a move for Pepe after agreeing a deal with Lille.

The winger was identified as an alternative to Wilfried Zaha with Lille happy for Arsenal to structure payments to fit their budget.

And local Lille paper La Voix Du Nord claim the deal will be complete this week.

07.00 UPDATE: Liverpool winger set for exit

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has revealed Ryan Kent will NOT leave the club on loan again.

Rangers have been keen to sign the winger again on loan but have now been told to stump up cash to sign him permanently.

Klopp said: “The time is over, I think, for loans, because of his age.

“The players need to find a place where they can settle. A loan is not an option.”
